TAGHIA
Located in the High Atlas, 200 km east of Marrakech, in the province of Azilal, Taghia is a Berber village of 600 inhabitants dominated by a ring of great ocher limestone walls.
PROJECT
Eguzkiz blai, the name of the initiative, consists of installing a photovoltaic pump to supply drinking water from a nearby spring to the houses that occupy the upper part of the village and which are currently lacking.
CLIMBING
The exploration of the walls of the Taghia Cirque remained anonymous for a long time. In the middle of the 1970s, the French visited the place and opened the first major routes.
TEAM
We are a group of people who are united by climbing and love and respect for the mountains and their villages. The technical part of the project is directed by the Tolosaldea LHI Vocational Training School.
